Blocks Vs Blocks is a strategic territory-conquest puzzle that reimagines the "IO" genre through the lens of static logic and spatial dominance. Played on a grid-based map, you compete against a sophisticated AI to occupy the largest percentage of the board. The game is a pure test of "expansionist mathematics"—every block you place acts as a source for further growth, but also as a potential wall for your opponent. It is a highly addictive, fast-paced battle of wits for players who love minimalist strategy and territorial control.
How to Play
At the start of a round, you select a starting point on the grid. Your color will automatically expand into adjacent empty tiles. You must tap on "Strategic Nodes" to steer the direction of your expansion. The goal is to encircle the AI's territory to cut off its growth potential while maximizing your own. The game ends when the entire grid is filled; the player with the highest percentage of their color wins. As you progress, the maps become irregular with "unpassable" zones, requiring more complex routing.
Tips & Tricks
To dominate the AI, master the "Chokepoint Strategy." Instead of expanding in all directions, race toward narrow corridors in the map to block the AI's path early. This effectively "quarantines" large sections of the grid for your exclusive use later. Always look for the AI's "Origin Point" and attempt to surround it quickly. A smaller, well-contained enemy is much easier to defeat than one that has been allowed to branch out across the entire board.
